While Kai and the rest of Fenrir are thinking of a scheme to infiltrate the mysterious fortress they believed to be one of Hydra's, another group of shady individuals are conducting a shady meeting in another location.
Every one of this shady people wear black cloaks to hide their identities. This shady people are the in-fact the remaining heads of Hydra. If Kai is to know that the remaining heads are in the same location, Kai would have shake his head and curse his luck for missing such an opportunity. Unfortunately, luck is a very fickle mistress and unpredictable to boot.
Six people seats around a huge and round table. On top the table are food and wine yet none of the occupants are touching them. The atmosphere inside the room is bleak and tense and the servants serving these six are ill-at-ease.
"Shall we begin this meeting or do you guys want to dine first?" One of the cloaked man asked.
"Enough with the nonsense, Vincent. Let's just start the meeting already! Do you think anyone here is in the mood to eat?" A well-built man wearing cloak scolded the person named Vincent.
"As you wish, Gran. Well then anyone else have other opinion?"
The man named Vincent looked at the others and seeing that no one's saying anything decided to start the meeting.
"It's been a while since all of us heads are in one place. I know that most of you are concerned considering what happened to Elric and Felix. But I assure you this place is absolutely safe, so worry not," Vincent proclaimed.
No one responds to Vincent's proclamation and the others simply looked at him. Vincent did not feel upset nor insulted from these for he knows that this people are like this. Besides this works for him as no one would interrupt him fro talking.
"As every one of us know, Elric and Felix are dead. And we have no idea who did it." Vincent continued.
Vincent explained that he used his best people to investigate the matter but only manages to find very little information about the killers.
"The only thing we found out about the culprits is that they are a group of powerful individuals. We know neither their goals or motives for antagonizing our organization. I'm ashamed to say that even though I've used everything at my disposals, I still failed to find anything substantial about this mysterious group," Vincent explained.
"Surely you didn't summoned us here to just tell us this useless information, right?" Gran asked with a sneer.
"Of course not. I won't do something as pointless as that. The reason I summoned everyone here is because I have a plan to flush out the culprits but I needed everyone's cooperation," Vincent answer without minding Gran's tone.
"Oh? You have a plan? Do tell us," a woman robed in cloak asked with interest.
"It'll be my pleasure, dearest Maria," Vincent gave a theatrical bow to the woman in cloaked named Maria.
Vincent looked at everyone, making sure that he has their attention before continuing.
"The plan is very simple. We will lure the culprits using one of the heads as bait!" Vincent declared loudly.
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"That is simple. And so, who is going to be the bait?" Maria asked after a brief silence.
"About that, I would like to ask Ritter's cooperation," Vincent replied.
"...Why don't you use yourself as bait instead since this your idea and all?" The man named Ritter answered irritatingly.
Vincent simply smiled at the others--especially Ritter's Irritated response. He already expected their questions and have answers prepared.
"I cannot. My ability isn't suited for this task," Vincent answered. "On the otherhand your (Ritter's) ability is well suited for this. So, won't you cooperate?"
"Tsk! My power is indeed suited for things like that but as everyone knows, it isn't suited for battle. You knew what happened to Elric and Felix, right? Those two have abilities well suited for battle and both of them are dead! Are you asking me to die?!" Ritter replied grudgingly.
"Obviously, you won't be doing it alone. Someone else would be doing the fighting for you. You just need to constraint them for a little while," Vincent explained.
Ritter stayed silence for a bit then sighed.
"...Fine! When are we going to begin?"
Ritter could only resign to his fate and accepted the role grudgingly. Anyways, his ability might not be battle-related but it's really well suited for keeping himself alive.
"Excellent! The plan will start in..."
