Pay it Forward - Week 84 Entry
This is my submission for the Pay it forward Curation contest run by @thedarkhorse and @pifc.
Well.. this is an interesting challenge... finding a post in the #jahm tribe to feature and spread the word about! This isn't a tribe that I have ever looked at or even considered posting in... I guess, mostly because I have very little to do with the Carribbean and I'm not that much of a token chaser to randomly post in various off topic tribes!
Well, that said.. I do love ska... and that could be the link... and I did see lots and lots of music videos in the #jahm tag... so maybe there is a loose connection after all!
Haiku
I'm afraid that I'm terrible with poetry... it was always the section that I would purposely skip and never study for in my English Literature exams. We would have the chance to skip one particular "section" (Poetry, Novels or Plays...)... and I would always skip Poetry. Mostly it was because I had a terrible memory and I could remember all the words... which is kind of important for a work that has very few carefully chosen words... and also because I could never really see the depth and beauty that others would seem to appreciate!
Anyway, haiku is somewhat interesting... sort of like a Japanese limerick or something (haha... poetry lovers will crucify me for casually making that pretty loose connection...)... it is short and pithy and possibly humorous... with a fairly well defined set of rules that make it quite witty. In this featured post, @owasco (REP 62) has presented a really nice haiku, that they have spent quite some time mulling over... actually, I was quite interested in the process of coming to the finished work more than the work itself (No offense meant.. it's just the way my attention is captured!).
As a little bit of interest... the featured post was also a contest entry... so a contest entry featuring a contest entry... pretty cool heh!
Jahm Feature
Okay.... I have to be a bit honest here... I was completely and utterly bewildered by the #jahm tribe tag! All sorts of music videos and stuff that I had absolutely no inkling of... plus a weird flat earther thing that I had to bite my tongue to stop myself cringing hard... well, serves me right for clicking on it...
Anyway, the thing that did catch my attention was this featured post by @joseacabrerav (REP 64) who has just received and passed on the STEEM-Torch! This project was one that passed through my account a while back... and it seems like it is just a nice twist of fate to see it here... in a tag that I've never visited!
So, for those who don't know about this... the STEEM-Torch is a project started by @geekgirl to bounce an increasing amount of STEEM through "trusted" accounts... building a chain of trust and highlighting the efficiency and speed (and transaction fee-less nature) of the STEEM chain. It was an honour to have held it briefly so many months ago... and now @joseacabrerav has had the pleasure of passing it onwards! The feeling that you get when someone that you've never met except via STEEM considers you to be trustworthy enough to hold the Torch is pretty nice and warm!
My past entries
I'm going to keep a record of my past entries mostly for my own ease of finding them again!

Thanks... and thanks as always for helping them out!
Nice entries. Thanks for participating so regularly!
Thanks... and thank you as always for supporting the bloggers!
Thank you! Writing haiku is very much about the process of arriving at a very few syllables that evoke a profound simplicity.
I am also honored to be in the company of @Joseacabrerav, one of my
steem faves.
It does seem like a very relaxing and provoking puzzle... how to express yourself and your "idea" in a constrained and limited form!
And good luck!!!
