James hurried outside the palace through the hole in the wall left by his son, and it turned out he was just in time as the palace collapsed shortly after. The flying debris almost got him, but by luck or by a higher power, all the flying rocks, but one small one, missed him. It gave him a slight headache, but overall he was unharmed, safely outside and still had the cigarette in his mouth and the box of matches in his hand. He smiled when he realized he didn't drop them in panic, then tucked away both the cigarette and the box of matches into his pocket to set off to find his son.

It didn't take him long, since he saw him as soon as he stepped foot round the corner and his vision was no longer obstructed by one of the houses. A small black dot floating in the air a couple miles into the direction of the mine they were at not long ago. James quickly connected the clues and knew exactly what was going on.

Tom had used his newly obtained powers to dig out the ore from the ground, or even just extract the Cryosatane itself.

James just stood and watched as the ground itself – likely only the ore – came lifting from the ground up to the black dot in the air, then falling down as flying debris as Tom sucked out the Cryosatane from it in mid-air.
