The guard’s eyes teared up again. “I don’t know. They’re very secretive about it. Please.” He begged for mercy.
“Look at you. So loyal. So committed.” James laughed. “All these core values for who? A King that doesn’t give two shits if you die right here, right now. But tell you what. It’s your happy day today, because it just so happens my friend and I here want to get to Berq as well, and you…” James wiggled his gun in front of the guard’s face. “You’re going to take us there, aren’t you?”
“Yes! Anything!”
James got off him and stepped aside. “Get on your feet and walk.” James then turned to Tom and threw him the jar of Cryosatane, “get on the horse, we’ll switch halfway through,” then turned back to the guard, who was already standing up and ready to walk, “nothing stupid, okay? Or you wish I’d kill you.” James got real close to the guard’s ear and whispered to him. “And I will deny you.” James smiled and made a step forward. “This direction, you say?” He said with a cheerful voice.
“Y-yes.” The guard stuttered and proceeded to move alongside James. James stayed close in case he would decide to try and run away. He could hunt him down on foot without having to cause any extra noise and potentially alert other guards in vicinity.

Oh, James is very good at intimidating that guard, making him putty in James's hands. I wonder what that Cryosatane is all about. I love how you are able to continue this story by using the prompts...it can't be an easy thing to do. : )
Resident cat here, unlike James, I am playing around while delivering today's prompt: https://steemit.com/freewrite/@mariannewest/day-251-5-minute-freewrite-wednesday-prompt-players
Yeah, it's pretty obvious he's done it before.
Cryosatane is all about .... Ha! You thought I'd just spill the beans, didn't you?
Are you... Are you... Playing with yarn?
Almost got me. : ) Can't wait to find out!
No, No...not playing with yarn...trying to catch mice in the barn. : )
It's going to be craycray, you'll see, you'll see! :D
That actually sounds... more fun! Can I join?
OMG! I haven't heard that expression in years. Can't wait for the "craycray!"
You are welcome to play with me any time. Woah! That didn't come out they way I meant it to be. LOL! : ) You are welcome to join me...oh, I think I better stop this reply. LOL!
It's been a while since I came across it also... it just sort of popped into my head and I couldn't resist it haha :D
Stop? Why? Isn't playing... fun? ;)
Oh, I love it when fun "things" pop in your head, especially when doing a freewrite.
Yes, playing is fun! LOL!
