Out of sheer curiosity Tom first twisted open the pipe in hopes there was some of the ore essence left. There was none left behind – the pipe was as dry as pepper. They both wanted to know more about the newly discovered mysterious substance, so they decided they would follow the guard to the other side of the room to where they assumed the essence was collected.
They sneaked toward the passage near the very wall of the building and checked it for potential danger. There were a couple crates and closets along the way, but no guards, so they decided to try and advance toward the bright light at the end of the hallway. They crouched down and stuck to the very walls, each on their own side, and didn't relax for a second. They had to be prepared for anything. At some point they could hear footsteps nearing the hallway from somewhere in front of them, so they both hurried behind the nearest object and freezed in place. They were quite skinny to begin with, but they both contracted their abdomens as far inside as possible to take the least amount of space and be as invisible as possible.

Try soaking your pepper in water!

@svashta Well, if you're suffering from dry pepper, then that will make wet pepper.
Hmmm. What if I'm suffering from wet salt? Will dry pepper combined with wet salt yield dry salt and wet pepper?

Does that have anything to do with me spitting at it whilst talking, or is it my voice that's making it hold on to as much water as possible to muffle the horrid noise?
