Both curious as to what just happened, Tom and James decided to try and sneak closer to get a better look. They couldn't see the guard, but they could see the light moving toward the other side of the building, so they could relax a bit and slowly make their way closer to the pot while keeping their eyes on the moving light to stay safe.
From up close the pot seemed far larger than from the distance. James also noticed it was also quite different to the usual melting pots used for iron and other metals. He knew a thing or two about smelting ores from when he was in Miami and had a job at a smelting plant. The pot was literally just a huge cast iron bucket, and when they got to the other side of it, it had a tiny little drain at its bottom – similar to that of a beer barrell. Its outside was completely covered in ice crystals and there was mist coming from its surface, and even the surrounding air felt a lot colder.

Ohhh I like the idea of smelting! Maybe it's because my hubs works metal haha. I also noticed your diclaimer...that's a good idea!

Thanks! And yeah, I might change some things in the future when I'm editing... And this is just a way to "protect" myself. I don't intend on changing anything huge, but I might just... Can never be sure, really.
