“What are you even trying to do? Overthrow the King, or what?” The guard had questions of his own before he could answer James’ question, but it was already promising because he didn’t answer with a straight up no.
“Overthrow?” James laughed and shook his head. “No. We’re not interested in ruling. Let’s just say Kirk stole something and we’re here to retrieve it.” The guard looked at James with a stupid face, clueless. “Basically, we’re here to kill Kirk.” James then got a splendid idea on what to offer the guard. “If you want to rule after him, you go ahead, we’re not interested in that.” The guard’s eyes shone with more glee than any of the two had ever seen, and they instantly knew they bought him no matter what he said from then on.
“So you’d... Make me king for helping you kill the current king? What’s that big of a deal with Kirk?” The guard inquired further.
“That’s none of your concern. It doesn’t help anything if you know. All you need to know is that Kirk dies, you’re the new king, and you never see us again. Easy.” Tom spoke up.
The guard smiled at the last of Tom’s words. “Am I dreaming or something? Yeah, sure! I’m in! What do I do?”
“Help kill all those talking guard dogs standing between us and Kirk. That’s it. You do your usual thing, and we’ll start shooting them one by one at the back of the building, and when they start running toward us, you start killing too.”

Wow! That sounds risky, I hope that the strategy is in place and it doesn't end up backfiring on anyone. I can't imagine how that is going to be pulled off! Nice job.
I think I already see it being pulled off, with a ... couple twists, of course... You know, a couple new things, untold so far... ... :P

Yepp! But as they told him, it's just temporary. They're both used to working alone... even their cooperation is likely only temporary... But... who knows?
