Theodor Seuss Geisel (March 2, 1904 – September 24, 1991)[1] was an American author, political cartoonist, poet, animator, book publisher, and artist, best known for authoring children's books under the pen name Dr. Seuss (/sjuːs/). His work includes several of the most popular children's books of all time, selling over 600 million copies and being translated into more than 20 languages by the time of his death.

Ok, this guy was great!

I've read most of his stuff :)

Anyway he had a great quote I wanted to share today.

"Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple."

What a great statement!

How often do we beat ourselves up trying to figure something out only to find out the answer was right in front of us all along?

Or what about when we ask and ask only to find out we are asking the wrong question?

What about when the question is so complicated that when we find the answer we feel stupid for not seeing it in the beginning.

These kinds of things happen all the time to a lot of people.

Honestly it's not really a bad thing.

It can be quite eye opening in fact.

I find it is very important to learn from moments like this.

Partially because we can potentially avoid it next time around but mostly because this type of thing really expands the mind.

You see, during the process of attempting to figure it out, asking the wrong questions or formulating a complicated question our mind is developing new neural networks.

New synopsis are firing and opening up tons of possibilities to our minds.

Each new scenario we run creates a new pathway in our minds.

These new networks can, and likely will be, expanded on later in life somehow.

Without us really noticing these pathways are opening up things down the road we would never expect.

Every now and then we see signs of just what I'm talking about.

Have you ever been in a conversation about a topic you really knew nothing about then all the sudden something the other person said triggered a knowledgeable response from you?

Not a response like you understand the entire concept but a piece of it at least.

Then you think back and remember some silly thing you did once upon a time that led to you learning that?

Often this thing can be something otherwise forgotten.

Sometimes it is fully remembered but its relation to the topic of the current conversation was not noticed until that moment.

It may seem like I'm off topic a little here but let me explain.

You see, many of us beat ourselves up a little when we have the experience I first mentioned.

When we finally notice that really simple thing we can have a tendency to feel a little lesser somehow.

When in fact we should be very grateful for it.

We should be excited that we have now expanded our minds.

So the next time the answer ends up being right in front of you all along, your question is the wrong one or your super complex question results in a brutally simple answer...

Be thankful, you have just grown a new extension to your psyche!

Remember how Dr. Seuss said it:

"Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple."

I love all the Dr Suess books, and I have heard and used that quote many times myself but never knew it was from Dr Suess

thats a great take on it as well, as I see it there is no point in better yourself out over making a question to complicated or pretty much anything else the trick is to learn from it and try to not make the same mistake again

That's just it man! I love his stuff too. I've seen lots of deeper meanings in his work.

Yes I do seem to remember thinking that when I read some of them to my kids but I cannot remember them off hand for now

Yeah I always find I remeber things better when I find the answer myself instead of someone just giving me the answer.

You will learn it much better. Same with kids :)

Dr Seuss has so many fantastic books full of good quotes. For a child it is a great read as they can read his quotes and hopefully ponder what they mean and how they apply to life.
This quote seems like one of those quests you go on and the answer was right in front of you the whole time. In the end you learn a lot while on the quest so it was definitely worth the journey but you still feel a bit silly for not seeing the answer before you left.

So true! Lovely explanation. :)

I had the great pleasure to raise two generations of children on Dr. Seuss! I never tired nor did they of reading and re-reading his treasures!
Hope you all are great!
Melissa

His work for kids is really timeless.

Can you show some insiths and share some complicated quastions with easy ansvers from your life?

Mine:
"How to diversify yor investment capital?"
Capital/N (N - number of investment choices) - this simple heuristic works better than Nobel prise winner's formulas.
"How to pick up a woman"
You don't need to have best pick up techniques, you need work on yourself, achive financial indipendence and be yourself (now you are good enough and deserve socia approval)

Let's see....

Q. Steemit? (Very complicated question by itself.)

A. Just keep posting, just keep posting.

lol :)

To pick a woman, be sure you have picked each other :)

I love your content fam. Will be catching up with the messages soon - just gotta finish some stuff <3

I gotcha hun ;)

Much Love

"Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple."

I like this statement , and i really like your writing 😁

Thank you very much!

Great post my friend. And I love the quote
Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple."
Says so much and we have the tendency to always complicate things and make things much harder than it has to be... Lol
I'm guilty of that. And also that the answer just been in front of me the whole time. Also guilty there.. Lol
Thank you for sharing. Well written dear.
Have a wonderful weekend. Cheers 🤗

Thanks Sass!

I'm guilty of all of these as well hehe.

I'm sure we all are to dome degree :)

I think so to dear 😉 lol

Alright, eyes opened! :D
I like to get daily inspiration - so followed and upvoted!
Keep doing your thing!
Cheers

Sorry I haven't been on in a week. See my latest post for explanation :)

Thanks :)

@michaeldavid - So true. Sometimes the answer is in plain sight and we miss it because we look for an answer with an expectation that it is going to be complicated. I remember the case in the old times when our car suddenly stopped on the road. My friends opened up the hood and started doing all kinds of checks (being Engineers that they were). I stepped back and said - do we have gas? "Dumb question - the gauge shows half full" Said my friends and rolled their eyes. I opened the tank and shook the car - The tank was dry! Gauge appeared to be stuck!! LOL

KISS - Keep it Simple Stupid works most of the time.

@vm2904

Haha, great example man!!

KISS, completely
