Oprah Winfrey (born Orpah Gail Winfrey; January 29, 1954) is an American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist. She is best known for her talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show, which was the highest-rated television program of its kind in history and was nationally syndicated from 1986 to 2011 in Chicago, Illinois. Dubbed the "Queen of All Media", she has been ranked the richest African-American, the greatest black philanthropist in American history, and is North America's first multi-billionaire black person. Several assessments rank her as the most influential woman in the world. In 2013, she was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama and honorary doctorate degrees from Duke and Harvard.

Oprah has definitely made her mark.

She had something really cool to say about celebrating.

"The more you praise and celebrate your life,
the more there is in life to celebrate."

This is actually a really cool phenomena.

Whenever you celebrate things you are attracting more people, places, situations and events that are worth celebrating.

Whatever we are doing we are attracting like things to us.

So if we are upset all the time, we are attracting people, places, situations and events that are producing more upset feeling.

I we are worried all the time, we are attracting people, places, situations and events that are producing more worry.

Whatever you are putting out you are getting back.

Our emotions are our guidance system.

The stronger an emotion the faster and more intensely things will be attracted to us.

So when we feel an emotion really strongly, whatever we are focused on will come that much faster.

Celebrating is taking joy or happiness to that heightened state.

Since it's like being super happy it will attract more similar feelings super fast.

What this does is creates way more chances for us to feel like celebrating!

Which in turn leads to us celebrating much more often and continues the cycle.

Each time it is building a snowball of sorts.

Growing in both girth and momentum as it goes.

So find little things and show them genuine appreciation.

Find a way to genuinely get excited about them, celebrate them!

Remember,

"The more you praise and celebrate your life,
the more there is in life to celebrate."
