Being Ambitious can really push you forward to new heights.

Ambition cannot make you succeed all on it's own though.
It is persistence that will keep the train rolling.

Persistence is something you choose to have.
It is defined as: Firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.
Ambition is like desire and acts like a feeling or an emotion. It can be there one day and fade the next only to revive again later.
You can gain more ambition by talking about, thinking about or taking action on a desire.
It will fade by thinking, talking or acting in a negative manner on or about a desire.
Persistence is something you choose to have despite all odds.
With these two in harmony you cannot fail!

So fuel your ambition for something by talking about it, thinking about it and taking action toward it's achievement.
Persistently move in it's direction even if it's only a small step every day.
Even if you're having a bad day, make yourself do something toward your goal.
By utilizing the power of these two things you can begin to snowball toward your goal.
Pretty soon you will be moving at an enormous pace with little effort!
