Walter Elias Disney (December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966) was an American entrepreneur, animator, voice actor and film producer. A pioneer of the American animation industry, he introduced several developments in the production of cartoons. As a film producer, Disney holds the record for most Academy Awards earned by an individual, having won 22 Oscars from 59 nominations. He was presented with two Golden Globe Special Achievement Awards and an Emmy Award, among other honors. Several of his films are included in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress.

Well most of us have heard of this guy.

I have a great quote from him for today.

“You may not realize it when it happens,
but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.”

So I was watching a this vlog from @awarenessraiser yesterday and one of her friends said something interesting that relates with today's quote.

They said that without struggle there is no strength and without strength you cannot build.

We do not need to struggle all of the time of course, once we have strength from struggle it remains with us and aids us in building.

At bare minimum, if you are kicked in the teeth it can make you stronger.

The thing to remember here is that there are no good or bad situations, only situations.

Good and bad come solely from individual perception.

This is why so many people can view a situation so differently and can completely disagree on what is bad or good.

So, since good and bad are merely perception then you actually have a choice of how you perceive people, events and situations.

If you get a kick in the teeth you are the one that determines how you will view it.

If you view it in a negative light you will often not miss opportunity you have been given.

If you view it in a positive light you will often have the chance to seize a great opportunity.

I was taught a while back that when a catastrophe happens you should celebrate.

With great catastrophe comes great change.

The greater the catastrophe, the greater the change.

If you let that catastrophe influence you to feel and perceive in a negative manner you will miss what is there for you.

However when we celebrate it we are choosing to see the catastrophe in good lighting.

This will, of course, allow us to see and take advantage of the great opportunity for change that is coming.

This is not an easy thing to do at first of course.

Understand that you are not celebrating that something horrible has happened.

You see, the catastrophe is merely a sign that a great change is coming for you.

What you are celebrating is realizing that you are about to be rewarded with a great change in your life.

I'm sure you've had it happen before...

Something looks horrible in the beginning then the final outcome is actually wonderful.

It happens all the time in fact.

So the next time you get kicked in the teeth, celebrate!

You just won a prize!

The chance to experience wonderful change and seize great opportunity!

Be thankful, because these moments do not happen every day.

Remember,

“You may not realize it when it happens,
but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.”

"...without struggle there is no strength and without strength you cannot build." Great Mindset 😉

I have one I heard in some place: " I just realized how to succeed when I learned how to lose properly."😉I think it is a stock market or poker quote lol .

I appreciate it man. Thank you you too :)

Sounds painful, but definitely works! What motivates me the most is when a friend gives it to me straight.

haha, not always a literal kick in the teeth my friend. :)

This is highly motivating i love it sir

Thank you man! That is just what I am going for!

Catastrophe is not something I seek regardless of the value it may bring.

Seems you read this wrong. It is not to be sought out. Only celebrated if it occurs. :)

Useful information 😄
