Building Relationships

So I acquired today's quote from an unknown source.

Nonetheless its a great one.

"A relationship is like building a house.
Build it well or it will collapse."

Relationships are very important.

They are important for feeling loved.

They are important for enjoying life.

They are also important in business.

Relationships take effort, time and energy.

They really need to be built on a solid foundation or, once they grow, they will not have the necessary strength to maintain.

So what is needed to build a solid relationship?

Well, the first thing would be a common goal or agenda.

When two or more people form a relationship there really needs to be something that warrants it, like common interest, similar life direction or even aligned goals.

With a common goal they will effectively be in a mastermind and be gaining in a synergistic way from it. This type of union can bring much more to each person than they could have gotten on their own.

There needs to also be a degree of trust.

Trust at least within the parameters of what drew them together.

In other words, they must at minimum trust each other to be heading in the direction of the common interest or goal.

There needs to consistent engagement as well.

A relationship where people rarely see each other is hardly beneficial to either party.

The more they are working together on a common goal the greater that goal can reach.

There are also those relationships in business with your customers and/or followers to consider.

It is very easy in business to give thought out responses to clients and followers.

All to often companies shuffle us through and treat us like a number rather than a person.

Haha, I know how busy life gets more than many.

It's still no excuse.

If you cannot at least leave a thought out response then maybe cut down on the amount of people you talk to.

I do my best to respond with a similar level comment to what is given to me.

If I leave a comment else where I make it count.

Let the person know I'm there and actually read their content lol.

I read far less posts than some people, but I feel that being sincere in my response helps build better relationships in the long run.

After all, quality vs. quantity right?

This is good relationship building and is essential for life with other people.

Don't just wait for your turn to speak, listen to the person you are engaging with.

Build your relationships on a solid foundation.

Then grow them with dignity.

Remember,
