Earl Nightingale (March 12, 1921 – March 28, 1989) was an American radio personality, writer, speaker, and author, dealing mostly on the subjects of human character development, motivation, excellence and meaningful existence; so named as the "Dean of Personal Development." He was the voice in the early 1950s of Sky King, the hero of a radio adventure series, and was a WGN radio show host from 1950 to 1956. Nightingale was the author of The Strangest Secret, which economist Terry Savage has called “…one of the great motivational books of all time“.

In his book "The Strangest Secret", Earl shows what the strangest secret is.
For those who don't already know, I'm going to share it with you today in his words.
"We become what we think about most of the time, and that's the strangest secret."
There is so much behind this statement that I cannot cover it in only one post so I'll give you the gist.
Whatever you put your greatest focus on is what you will mostly be.
If you don't think this is real, put all (100%) of your focus on one single thing for a month and see what happens.

Most of us tend to think more about things that we don't want.
Debt, a crappy job, a crappy relationship.
Because of the amount of thought we put into these things we end up having a lot more of them.
Or we focus on to many things and dilute the power of our thoughts.
Ever notice when you buy, or start looking at, a particular type of car that all of the sudden you begin seeing them all over the place?
If we want the object of our desire we have to focus very intently on it.
If you look at anyone that has succeeded wildly at anything you will notice that it is all they focus on.
It's all they think about or talk about.
They practically eat, sleep and breath it!
They also love it!

It gets them exited!
Whatever you want in life you need to do the same.
If you want to be a great writer, then submerse yourself in writing and love it!
If you want lots of money then dive into it!
Read about it, do things with it and meet people who love to talk about it.
The more focus you put on something the greater its chance of achievement.
If you only think about it sometimes you are not getting it.
If you are focused on many things consolidate them and your focus will have more power.

Reduce it to one thing if you can.
If you want something and don't really focus on it then you are just dreaming.
If you don't think about something you want then it will never happen.
So if there is something you want, get out there and become one with it!
Talk about it, read about it and think about it constantly!
Become obsessed with it and you will surely achieve it!
Remember, what Earl Nightingale said was very true.
"We become what we think about most of the time, and that's the strangest secret."

Great inspirational. I want to be obssesse with dentistry but my country has drafted me as supreme court security for 2 years with salary of 300 dollar monthly salary. What would you do if someone or law is prohibitting you from digging into something you truly passionate about?

Is it illegal to say no to the draft?
Yea it is against the law.
Then continue with the draft and do the best job you can with it, but make the decision to be a dentist and take action toward being one as often as you can.
If you have been asking to be in dentistry you may be surprised also at what things in your new drafted position may lead you there as well.
Spend the next two years doing the job you must do while also studying and submersing yourself whenever you can in what you want to do (dentistry). Make sure it is regular.
You will be surprised the things that will present themselves if you move toward it without agitating the path you are already on.
If dentistry is really what you want then think, read and talk about it all the time while continuing to work the job you are forced to work (still do a good job).
The universe will line up a path for you that will be acceptable to you and the laws of your country.
Or, it may line up a way out of the draft or a move to somewhere it's not required.
Just keep your eyes and ears open. Opportunity sometimes knocks gently.

Yes! The power of attention! This can be extended to what we think about becomes what we do and what we do defines our lives as well. If most of your waking hours are spent at an unsatisfying job, how will you feel about your life?
There you go! Precisely why I refuse that life for myself anymore. It's healthier to do something for less money that you feel good about.
I agree with most of it. Sometimes s*^# just happens though and catches you by surprise.
If we are not paying attention, everything is a surprise!
