The quote I have from her today is a very good one.

“If you don't value your time, neither will others.”

It's really true, isn't it?

Our time is a precious thing.

It's the one thing we can never get back and there is only an allotted amount of.

If we are always willing to give our time away to people then they will expect that we will always give it for free.

If we don't use this precious resource efficiently it can become our worst enemy.

Time, be it illusion or not, is always moving forward and not back.

We must make the best use of it here in the now of every moment if we expect to succeed.

Napoleon Hill taught something that he coined "The Law of Increasing Returns".

Basically put, if you do more than you are paid to do now, you will get paid much more in the future for seemingly less effort.

Often we don't want to "waste our time" doing trivial work that is actually helping us but does not seem immediately beneficial.

If the work you are doing is moving toward your goal, no matter how trivial, it is worth doing.

You will be getting rewarded for that down the road even if it doesn't seem like it now.

In every business there are trivial jobs that need done that many don't want to, or aren't willing to do.

These are the very things that get the successful ahead of the pack.

Although, what do these tasks take the most of?

Time.

This is where time management becomes a key player in your success.

If your time is spent hanging out on the weekends or burning daylight during your business hours then you are missing golden opportunities on a regular basis.

Is there anything wrong with spending our time this way?

No, there is not.

However, if we manage these moments so that we get things done toward our goals we are paying that time forward.

Down the road we will begin to see the benefit as our goal seems to become easier and take less time.

When you have paid it forward by managing your time wisely, it will look to people around you later as if you have had the easy road to success.

It's basically an investment of your time.

As time progresses your investment grows.

A great way to show this is the farmer that works very hard getting his crop planted and when the time comes reaps a large reward for his efforts in the way of a bountiful harvest.

If you are concerned that your friends will think you a busy body or no fun, think to the future.

What will they have to show for their efforts and what will you have to show?

As time progresses your rewards will start to show and they will be in awe and wonder at what you have accomplished.

They will respect your time the way you do.

How many times have you heard someone say something like this:

"He/she does this or that for a living so it's great we were able to get this 10 minutes with him/her."

Often these people are genuinely pleased that they have gotten such a short amount of time with someone so "important".

Granted we will all waste a little time, however if you can use your time as efficiently as possible it will greatly increase your chance for success.

Every extra minute you can spend doing something toward your goal will return an exponential reward in the future.

Remember,

“If you don't value your time, neither will others.”

I admire Kim Garst. She mastered social media, and helps professionals maximize their efforts in those platforms.

For entrepreneurs, your advice about valuing time is especially keen. None of us should fall for those who want to "buy us lunch to get our ideas on a topic."

Instead, we let them know that our time has economic value. We state upfront that we have a consulting charge for clients who want us to use our expertise to help them grow their business or improve their skills.

I like that. Once i habe a but more clout ill be using it for sure.

Man, with your knowledge and skills I think you have established ample clout!

I sent that last reply with my phone, didn't realize how my auto correct took over lol

I really appreciate that.
Still getting my presence out there. I will be going down that road soon.
Coming from someone with your wisdom, that really means a lot.

Thank you.

Auto correct could almost be re-named "Auto Destruct."

Thanks for that nice compliment. I'd say you are omnipresent already.

What city is your base?

Great name for it!

Thanks.

I'm in Angola, Indiana presently.

My spot is Gainesville, GA--a winter considerably milder than yours.

I lived for about a year not far from there in Fayetteville, GA. Just south of Chattanooga. Definitely a different climate.

Best post I'll first see on steemit. Hello guys am new to this platform Pls do follow me my fellow and I'll follow you back thanks ☺

Thanks man

Mention not ☺

Nice piece man!

We all share the same amount of time in a day. However, each of us may have different amount of time to exist as a living human. Thus, how well do we value our time? It really depends on ourselves. If we don't appreciate and value it, no one will do it for us. As we all have this limited resources and once we were born, the clock already started to tick.
Let's utilize our time and make ourselves more valuable to the society.

very well said kim. The clock is ticking.

Just do it :) time never waits

No it does not! :)

I followed Kim for years blogging, facebook and periscope :)

nice bro, still kind of new to her.

'Don't waste your time, or time will waste you'
(in my bio)

I've heard that before. Love that quote!

a very good post and can be made in an example

Absolutely man! Thank you!

“If you don't value your time, neither will others.” Such a great quote and I completely agree! I am super protective of my time and don't allow others to abuse it because that means you are giving them permission to abuse the most valuable asset you have. As for me, I do my best to use my time wisely and even if I do' waste' it, it's usually on lesser priority things, but not like watching (trash) TV, surfing the net or going places I don't NEED to go. Great reminder: 'Every extra minute you can spend doing something toward your goal will return an exponential reward in the future.' Thanks!

you're so right! Even when we do waste time if wee are aware and consciously choosing our we are not likely to over do it. I'm stoked you have a good reminder from this!

Thank you!

you are welcome!
