Why is community important?
One man standing, could easily be the last man standing. One person working alone, one man fending alone. Throughout the history of our race, people have always banded together in groups and communities because they realized that work is done faster, better and with far less effort than if everyone worked for themselves.
It was so in times of peace and prosperity, and even more so in times of war and struggle. Therefore we learned to help each and make sure each one of us is useful to the community. There is no better way to keep things going and grow grand ideas, help them come to life.
Now we come to the question of expectations and rewards. If you expect anything from someone without giving anything back, well, you are greatly mistaken. This is not how the world works. Give and take is a far better way of approaching this matter.
When you decide to join a community, no matter which one it is, make sure you have something to offer that the rest can make use of. Then, after you've proven yourself as a good person with pure intentions, other people will start talking about their offers and ask you more about yours. Your offer can be more than only goods and services. It can be knowledge, skills, contacts and all other sorts of resources an individual can possess. Soon you'll be on the right path to making lasting relationships that might result in serious business.
All of this takes time. Time to chat with people, present your ideas and, most of all, hone your skills and improve your offers. If one is not ready to put his time in the community, nothing will happen. It is even less likely to happen if one is not in a community because the synergy effect does not happen then at all.
The first thought should always be: "How am I to be useful to this community if it is to grow and prosper for my own good and the good of others?"

Everything in the world is interconnected. People are no exception. They are united by a common fate - the fate of humanity, consisting of people who lived and live on Earth. A person alone outside the society of his kind will not be able to fully realize himself.
Society influences the development of his personality from the moment of his birth: it defines his worldview, his priorities, his culture, knowledge and way of thinking and many other aspects of his life. Society does not allow a person to be alone, and this is perhaps his most important role in the life of each of us.
The relationship of man and society is obvious. Society not only satisfies a person’s need for communication, but also requires him to participate in the lives of other people. A person cannot live separately from everyone, because the fate of society is his destiny. Yes, society is not ideal and is cruel to people, but we must live in concert, respecting and protecting each other in order to avoid conflicts. We are not free, but we are not alone.
About an appointment that I put in the discord of @adsactly, @soyrosa reminded me that our ancestors, the first men on earth, had to unite to survive, those who did not, perished. Living in community is part of being human, relating, but also working for a purpose. And when I talk about working, it is rowing to the same shore, helping to climb each rung, being support before each obstacle. It does not make sense that one carries the loads, that only one faces the great winds. Two people can live cold more cold if both are warm. I think that every day, every time I use an appointment that promotes union and teamwork, it's because I know how far we can go together. If we do not function as a team, we will die as people. The true union is strength! Today @adsactly has dedicated his two publications to value teamwork and that is good. I applaud you.
Man is made to live in society, and more precisely in community. He is not made to live alone, without interaction with his peers. The community is useful to the man. The individual benefits from it, and he must also contribute to the community in return.
Everyone must seek a good community to integrate. A community is a group of people with the same values, going in the same direction and sharing joys and misfortunes together.
We live in relation to others and although we are independent individuals we are in contact with other people of whom we even need more than we think; knowing how to live in a community is essential to have greater security, hence living with neighbors, other parents, friends or acquaintances is the source of daily life in which we all help each other.
