Noval | Graphite | A6

Hi, welcome to my art blog! We are now on our 118th art blog! That was a long journey, indeed!

Today, I will introduce you to another student. His name is Junie Noval a grade 9 student under my advisory. He is a bright, funny, and good student. He gets along so well with his classmates. He submits very good projects in Technical Drafting. In fact, I consider his works as one of the best outputs in his class. He didn’t ask me to draw him, I just find a good time to draw him while watching television in the house.

Drawing Process

Before the step by step process, let me first give you the materials I used and prepared. I used my very cute sketchbook and a 7B staedler graphite pencil to do this.

Step 1: I sketched the outline of my subject.

Step 2: I first use another brand of pencil, but I was not happy of the result when I did the hair, so I decided to change it with 7B Staedler.

Step 3: I traced the eyebrows and did the eyes. My sketchbook is very small, so the details of the eyes are very challenging. However, I still managed to do it correctly.

Step 4: After that, I used the graphite pencil to render on the areas of the face and neck. When that was over, I also did the same process on the other side of the drawing.

Step 5: Finallly, I added sone details and accents in my drawing.
