Mystical Zebra | Mixed Media

I love it when I am lost from reality because it is the time when everything turns to be magical.

Sometimes I love to wander in the world of fantasy and magic because in there I can be who I want to be, I can do what I want to do without limits.

In this 111th art blog, I give you a mystical creature. Although the white and black stripes of the zebra are already fascinating, I still would want to alter the color of the stripes to make it more magical and mystical. To do this, I selected four different colors to make the stripes. These are pink, orange, green and blue green. I used yellow also and made it the dominant color for zebra because I want to layer it with a metallic gold color. In this process, I used three media - the coloring pens, ink and colored pencils. I used ink to trace the outline of my subject, coloring pens are used to do the base color and finally, I layered it with colored pencils. This technique will create more vibrant colors. I hope you will enjoy the drawing process below.

Step 1: Sketching using an ordinary pencil.
