Hi, there! I am happy to share to you this one artwork I did for today. This is another fanart made for my favorite lovetime in Philippine Showbizz. I just love their chemistry and their craziness with each other. This is one of the slowest artwork I have done. This took more than 5 hours excluding the time I rest and sleep in between. But, I am very happy of the outcome of my patience and determination to finish this.

Drawing Process

Before I show you the photo process, I want to first talk about the materials and tools that I used to make this lovely artwork. I used a long vellum board, I think it is a good drawing paper when you want to use colored pencils. By the way, I used Faber Castelle Classic Colored Pencils and Faber Castelle Watercolor Pencils.

1. I first sketched the outline of Maine and Alden using 3H Coleen Graphite pencils. I made sure that the important lines were sketch properly for proper and easy detailing later on.
2. Then I started coloring/rendering using the FCCP or the FCWCP. In doing this I have initial rendering so that I can fill evenly the white spaces of the drawing paper. Then I do the second layer using the darker color/shade of the colored pencils.
3. I repeated the process until all parts of the drawing are correctly placed. By the way, since I easily get bored (which is certainly my problem when doing art) I don’t stay in one area only. I transfer to other parts of my drawing to shift and disturb my easily bored brain. By doing it, I can be sure I can finish what I started.
4. But if I really get tired, I always drop my pencils and take a nap. I dont want to finish my work compromising the quality. Id rather have it undone compared to having it done but totally messed up. Resting is part of the long process.
