“I see you two have made acquaintance already. Good,” his black beak barely moved when He spoke. “Tom, I am Ducköden. I am the one in charge, and also the source of your power. I control what you do, and what is done to you. I see all. That incident with James before? That was me.”
“Ducköden,” Tom mimicked his father and nodded toward the giant black duck.
“The answer to your question is yes, Tom. That was me also. I killed your best friend when you were 12. I had to make sure you followed in your father’s footsteps.”
”You motherfu-“ before finishing his thought, Tom spasmed with pain and collapsed down to his knees.
“Now, now. No need for such words,” Ducköden let go of His death grip on Tom. “You will address me appropriately next time. Now get up! I know you two are both wondering why I never complete a job on my own. After all, I could kill any man with a snap of my fingers, why need two gunslingers to do my work?” Ducköden stopped for a second to see whether any of them had already figured it out. “Where your next target is my powers do not work.”

This got a pretty interesting turn.. a mix between Darth Vader and Walter of the Black Tower saga.
Don't know Walter, but I sure do like Darth Vader. :3
Hmm. Perhaps I'll write some more in that direction.....

Well, you lead the way alongside me with your daily prompts, so ... :P If you'll provide something I can use in a romantic way, I might just. :P
I have to see what I can do - I have them in a spreadsheet way in advance. But let me think..... :)

I came up with one for you lol. I have done the instant prompt when I didn't have time to prepare - but it is easy to kind of choose the same things plus I want to write too and when I do them in advance, they are new to me again.
And with so many now, I really have to check that I don't do the same one again lol
I understand and I was (mostly) joking :P
I'm actually happy to hear you've come up with that already, instead of having to go back through all of your prompts at some point in the future... :p
Two legends serving a master they follow only from fear? This is going to end well (I'm thinking cherry tarts and mimosas... What is the Master's drink of choice anyway?)
Ducköden has fingers? What are his thoughts on bicycle horns?
I tried listing the ingredients but vomited halfway through... Sorry. There's just so much I can take.
And it's not only from fear... Hmm, maybe I need to make it clearer.... What Ducköden had done was strictly to keep Tom in line... Tom, after all, has much to learn about the whole situation still.
Hmmm. As long as they're black, they're good.

Sort of. Watching a Youtube video full of pogo-stick accidents was an experience... (ouch).
