This week marks the one year anniversary of Punday Monday, so we’re having an extra big awards event, and asking you to comb through the Punday archives to find the most deserving winners of some extra big prizes (and sharing in their success with prizes of your own!)
How it works
At the end of this post, you’ll find a link to every Punday we’ve had this past year. Go have some laughs at all the puns, and when you find the pun that strikes you as very special, as THE BEST PUN, come back here and post it, crediting the author and linking to it.
Over the course of the week, read other people’s nominees, and upvote your favorite(s). The 10 puns with the most upvotes will move on to the awards ceremony next week.
Next week, a new post announcing all the final nominees will go up, and final voting will commence.
What are these prizes?
The top 10 nominees and whoever nominated them will each receive 1 @steembasicincome share!
The ultimate winner and whoever nominated them will each receive another 5 SBI shares! That’s a 30 SBI giveaway! If you want to sponsor an additional award, let me know, and we’ll add it to the prize pool!
What restrictions?
Only the first person to post a particular pun will be eligible for the nominator’s prize. Only the first nominating post from any person will count as their nominee.
During the Awards Ceremony Week, whichever of the top 10 nominees gets the most upvotes will get 5 more SBI shares, and so will whoever nominated them in the first place!
Spread the news far and wide, feel free to encourage your followers to vote for the pun you’ve nominated (or your own pun if you’ve been nominated). It’s not cheating to advocate for yourself! After all, that’s how the Oscars, Emmys, and Tonys ultimately are decided.

Instead of a GI joe, I asked my parents for a little brother to play with as a Christmas present. Alas, they told me the whole idea was INCONCEIVABLE.

The deaf woman walked into the tattoo shop and asked for their artist who worked with the hearing impaired. The receptionist gave her a blank stare. The disappointed woman turned to leave, saying "My friends told me I could come here and get my lips red!"
Bada-bing - Ya' been punned. It is funny because the deaf woman wanted her lips read, but the tattoo artists could only offer red lips. Tragic, really...
