Vamos a terminar el dibujo de una hoja de parra para lo cual utilizamos la técnica del sombreado.
Para los amigos de habla hispana, empiezo ahora mismo a publicar las lecciones de dibujo traducidas al español.
Once we have drawn the main lines of our leaf, the veins, etc., the next step will be to fill the inside using the shading technique, as already explained in 109-lesson
Una vez que hemos dibujado las líneas principales de nuestra hoja, las nervaduras, etc., el siguiente paso será rellenar el interior con la técnica del sombreado, como ya explicamos en 109-lesson
The higher the density of strokes in an area, darker tones are obtained, as shown in 109-lesson too.
Cuanto mayor sea la densidad de trazos en un área, tonos más oscuros se obtienen, como se muestra también en 109-lesson
110-lesson explains in detail how to correctly draw the strokes to make a "net" of many intersecting lines and how to properly use the drawing tools.
La 110-lesson explica en detalle cómo dibujar correctamente los trazos para hacer una "red" de muchas líneas que se cruzan y cómo usar correctamente las herramientas de dibujo.
At this stage, we can pay attention to certain areas that are not good with respect to the whole drawing, some areas that are too dark or too light.
For areas that are too light, the obvious solution is to carefully apply a few pencil strokes to fill them in.
If it's too dark, use a kneadable eraser, tapping gently on the strokes to make them a bit lighter, or well, darken the surrounding areas a bit to make the transition smoother.
En esta etapa, podemos prestar atención a ciertas áreas que no son buenas con respecto a todo el dibujo, algunas áreas que son demasiado oscuras o demasiado claras.
Para las áreas que son demasiado claras, la solución obvia es aplicar con cuidado algunos trazos de lápiz para rellenarlas.
Si está demasiado oscuro, use un goma de borrar moldeable, golpeando suavemente los trazos para hacerlos un poco más claros, o bien, oscurezca un poco las áreas circundantes para que la transición sea más suave.
This is the leaf almost finished, only the contrast with the veins is too much.
Esta es la hoja casi terminada, sólo que es demasiado el contraste con las nervaduras.
I filled in the veins using the same hatching technique, carefully, just enough to make the contrast less intense.
Rellené las nervaduras utilizando la misma técnica de sombreado, con cuidado, lo suficiente para que el contraste fuera menos intenso.

You know what attracted me in drawing with pencils? That was the fine hatching lines, hundreds of them, I always was wondering how people able to do htem so straight and so many nicely organised. The other thing was not to smudge the shaded area, so that it has nice contrast. I love hte final result :)
As you know, the answer is in the exercises I proposed in the early lessons. Do you remember?
