Drawing like a pro - 77, Homework Contest #9 - Drawing from a photograph

Hi friends!

Although I have already said it several times, I think it is worth saying it once more: observation is crucial in the craft of drawing.
The rules of perspective, the method of drawing helplines and vanishing points, are elements that help us solve important problems in drawing and that we can use whenever we need it, but if our drawing skills allow us to do without drawing numerous lines, obviously we are free not to do it. (I must draw all the helplines to show how the method works).
Consider these rules as useful elements and not as boring linear constructions that we are forced to use to achieve a drawing. One of the important things that the study of perspective gives us is that, first of all, it allows us to understand and solve drawing problems and, on the other hand, we sharpen our ability to observe along with developing our skills through practice.

The homework Contest

In lesson Lesson 57 I showed you how to analyze an urban landscape image and in the previous lesson Masterclass 76 I showed you a drawing made using this observation method.

Now, I want to give you a challenge: draw this urban landscape (below) based on the detailed observations in Lesson 57 (also following the demo from the previous masterclass Masterclass 76 as an example).

For this, I have drawn only the large blocks to show you how to start, so that you feel free to develop the drawing according to your aesthetic sense determines it.

Or, you can make the drawing of the previous masterclass Masterclass 76 following the steps described there. And I have a note to make to my drawing: VP2 should be slightly offset a bit more to the right so that the perspective of the gate wall is a bit more natural. Obviously changing the position of the vanishing point changes the perspective of the entire wall, but that's not a problem if you do it from the start.

This is not the easiest homework. But if a student has attended your lessons, then he will definitely cope)
It's interesting to see the results:)

Will see...

I love this exercise, it looks a bit more challenging but also I like the fact that users should try to solve the tasks themselves. I will definitely try it :)
