Hi friends!

I forgot to say to you, in the previous lesson that you are very welcome to do the exercise and to send it to me if you want an assessment or if you want to ask something related. Sorry, there are no coins involved, only the action of mutually learning and my upvote.

-----------------------------------------------

Well, this was the latest stage of our exercise.

Pay attention here to see how to get started with the hatching process. Notice how the first stage is the drawing of thin lines close and parallel to each other and all of them in the same direction.
(Also, notice that I have erased the first few strokes I made to define the geometric shape of this leaf and darkened the margins of the leaf a bit).

This stage consists in to draw as before, but the lines go in the opposite direction.
So on, you can continue if you want a darker surface, drawing lines in a cross direction.

At this stage, your drawing process becomes more interesting because you have to decide where to apply more strokes to darken some areas than others. The hatching process is the same over and over again.
A very important issue is to hold the pencil properly so that the tip of the graphite always remains sharp and we do not begin to make increasingly thick lines as we progress in the drawing.
For this see: 5 - Getting ready to draw and 103 - Sharpening the pencils

Later, in the next lesson, we will see how to correct some parts of our drawing that are too dark or too white.

I wish you a very nice day and good exercise!

Remember, you can always send me your drawing to get an evaluation or some additional tips to keep improving your drawings and, of course, to receive my sincere congratulations when your drawing is well done.
Sorry, no coins involved, just the mutual learning action and my upvote to thank you for your interest and desire to improve your drawings.

And if you like to colour your drawings, I recommend the interesting and useful Color and Light classes of @fumansiu whose concepts you can apply both with traditional and digital techniques!

Or maybe you want to make a beautiful watercolour with your drawing!
Well, our friend @arcoiris is back with his magnificent watercolour lessons.

Also, a must is the excellent drawings by @ranartblog in his very interesting and useful drawing tutorials.

Greetings my friend @jorgevandeperre

Nice work, a sheet that can be seen simple but you have given it an interesting finish, good lesson.
