Drawing like a pro - 99, Masterclass -The Last Supper by Da Vinci - Drawing a pattern for the tapestries.steemCreated with Sketch.

Hi friends!

Now it's time to decorate the tapestries hanging on the walls. We will make a single decoration pattern and use the same one for all the tapestries.

*

-----------------------------------------------

We'll use the same rule of measurements we take in 94-Masterclass to draw a rectangle with the size of the tapestry (width 1 and large 2).

We'll make a 4 by 8 grid to start drawing the pattern. Draw it a little away from the drawing of the wall or on other drawing paper, the important thing is that the size corresponds to that of the tapestry. I have drawn it close to the drawing to show you that the size of the rectangles is the same, one is seen from the front, and the other is in perspective.

Start by drawing a design like this in one cell of the grid.

Then repeat the same drawing in the next cell but mirrored and fill the empty space in the middle, between the two drawings, with something like the rhombus I drew.

Repeat the entire drawing (mirrored), in the following cells below.
Fill in the central space between the drawings with something geometric or floral like I did.

Then, once again, repeat the drawing in the next four cells.
Then repeat the entire pattern four times to the bottom.

Fill in the empty lateral spaces with something geometric or something you like.

Finally, fill in the centre with something floral if you want.

Here are all steps of the drawing process.

-----------------------------------------------

I wish you a very nice day and good exercise!

And if you like to colour your drawings, I recommend the interesting and useful Color and Light classes of @fumansiu whose concepts you can apply both with traditional and digital techniques.

Or maybe you want to make a beautiful watercolour with your drawing!
Well, our friend @arcoiris is back with his magnificent watercolour lessons.

What seems complicated is broken down into separate steps and becomes a little simpler and clearer :)

Yes, dear friend! Everything is simpler here than it seems.
