Hi friends!
In the last lesson we stopped at this stage of the drawing (below), so we will continue, this time drawing the tablecloth.

Let's divide the table rectangle into 16 parts (in red), so we can draw vertical lines to the top edge, now we need to retrieve the VP used before, so we can draw the vanishing lines as shown below.
We also need to divide the front into three equal horizontal spaces and we can divide the top of the tafel into four (don't forget to do it in perspective) because it may be needed later.

Notice that I made two extra divisions on both sides of the rectangle to draw a ribbon, on each side.

In this close-up, you can clearly see the divisions and the drawing of the ribbon.

So we have the cuboid ready to start drawing. All the divisions made have the objective of being able to draw the folds of the tablecloth, as you'll in the next images.

Following the helplines, we trace the folds of the fabric and also darken the front a little.

Once the tablecloth is finished, we continue with the legs of the table.
Don't forget to use the vanishing lines to draw the legs in perspective correctly.
Notice that the centre of the table is lighter than its ends. Always keep this in mind when drawing.

The table is almost done, we need to draw the shadows under the table now. Draw the shadows that fall on the legs first, then the shadow that falls on the ground.

Almost, almost finished our drawing. In the next lesson we will see the decoration of the walls.

I wish you a very nice day and good exercise!

And if you like to colour your drawings, I recommend the interesting and useful Color and Light classes of @fumansiu whose concepts you can apply both with traditional and digital techniques.

Or maybe you want to make a beautiful watercolour with your drawing!
Well, our friend @arcoiris is back with his magnificent watercolour lessons.
