Reflections - Day 96
Sitting just below the surface
Soaking in shades of reflected blue.
Even in the cold beauty is found.
An upside down magical place
Where mountain peaks become stalactites
And symmetry is perfected upon still waters.
A soft breeze wrinkles the surface
As it clearly whispers a hidden truth
That imprints just beneath your memory.
A minuscule life form defies laws with laws.
Barely leaving a trace upon the waters,
But making a big splash in your soul.
A tiny sad drop disturbs the peace
And colors dance across the ripples,
Mixing and twirling, gently fading back into the calm
As you reflect upon reflections.

I really enjoyed this piece, especially all of the word play you threw in there. The following part was my favorite:
I like the imagery of the "sad drop" which works as personification and normal adjective. Great work.
