Make way!
We are coming through.
Chop down your trees;
Dig up your dirt;
Chase away life;
-So we can have our way.

Make way!
We are coming through.
Dam up your streams;
Mine all your ores;
Suck up your water;
-So we can have our way.

Make way!
We are coming through.
Plow down your fields;
Increase our yields;
Drain all the life;
So we can have our way.

Make way!
I am coming through.
Shake all your buildings;
Blow away your dust;
Shatter your homes;
-So you won’t get your way.

I like this kind of poem that makes me question what it is really about. The ocean is uneasy and hurricanes will make their own course. But as I read this I find a deeper story of human arrogance. We expect the world to make way when we ourselves don't even listen.
The poem has a set structure and pattern moving steady like a hurricane.
