Turning - Day 4
This poem was inspired by the picture below as I thought about all the people caught up in the prison of the twisted, curvy layers of highway, What a stark contrast to the freedom, energy, and life offered by the last scene.
Twisting turning churning
burning the remains of archaic history
To fuel the demands of modern trickery
Layers of taxpayers
Sneering, tearing
But fearing
Masters of State
Layers of good players
Rushing, blushing
And hushing
The sound of silence
Layers of naysayers
Fussing, Cussing
Nonplussing
Going nowhere fast
Layers of God prayers
Ridiculing
And schooling
Throwing their stones
Layers of truth slayers
Lying, vying
And eyeing
The spoils of war
Derailing, prevailing
Unveiling the mask of misconceptions
In hope of revealing new directions

Excellent approach to the crazy movement of humanity today, directed towards the hypercapitalist pronouncement, neglecting the essential values and life in communion with nature. More and more entangled as their road communication systems. I congratulate your creative art, @firststeps.
