Billions of microscopic organisms war within
Filling the war torn battlefields of breath
With a thick mucous of bloodied dead soldiers
Shutting off my air supply.

Rush hour quickly grinds to a halt
As thousands of cars are herded like cattle to the slaughter house.
Tension slowly builds as fumes replace life giving oxygen
And I struggle to breathe.

Deadlines gather above like dark gloomy storm-clouds
Suffocating the light, quickly building up air pressure,
Bearing down hard, making me feel trapped
As panic shivers my timbers and crushes my chest.

Eager to escape their cubicle slots,
Crowds of faceless entities stuff themselves into the box of transport,
Pushing and prodding and vying for the limited air supply.
Just as my head starts to spin out of control I am saved by the ding.

I have to escape all this congestion!
I need wide open spaces
Of land and sky and water.
Where it is free to breathe.

The stopped traffic of vehicles is a nightmare. The smog steals your breath by squeezing your lungs.

Describe a panic attack. Nasty and anguished feeling of being breathless with fear embedded in the bones. The world falling on top and the movement stalking the control of the body. Respiratory congestion is felt throughout the poem. Good job, dear.

The way you allowed yourself to flow within the lines are amazing, you've put in so much effort in other to describe a very hectic congested traffic.
Your metaphors are terrific really, I love the imageries too and the fact that they really paint an exact perfect picture really, I love it so much

This is interesting.
The world is somehow heading to chaos with all it's business and 'busyness'. I saw a picture of that here.
The most interesting part is where you seek your way out of the world's pandemonium.
Interesting.
