Streams of Life - Day 30

I was just browsing through pictures on Unsplash when inspiration landed. This is a common theme for me.

A stream impregnates as a soul descends
Still waters cradle your unborn avatar
Then explodes into a gushing stream
Announcing your birth

Creeks and streams, rivers and rapids
Splashing, floating, swimming, riding
Implanting memories that last a lifetime
Reaching the depths of unknown forces

Many streams merge into your being
Trickling, rolling, rapidly turbulent
Filtered stream flowing outward
Gentle, happy, angry, fearful

Sometimes the roar is deafening
As multiple streams fall from jagged cliffs
Crushing body and soul below
Waterboarding torture that cracks your heart

Dead man floating down the stream
Tossed against the gnarled rocks
Like a rag-doll, painfully oblivious
Until the breath of life coughs

Suddenly frantic and fighting
Pushing and pulling against the force
Then battered and broken you welcome
A kinder and simpler flow

Carrying you to healing streams
Where calm waters run deep
And currents retreat downstream
Where they’ll one day meet
A stronger and wiser you
