Shadow like outlines,
Holding more than you know,
Seem to whisper soft secrets
As they stay out of reach.

Is the light from behind
Or light from in front?
Are they slowly approaching
Or just walking away?

Should I stand here and wait
Or leave them behind?
Should I ask them to turn
Or let them escape?

Should I dwell in my fear
Or toss it aside?
Should I give them a chance
Or just time of day?

Will I gain a new friend
Or a stab in the back?
Should I reach out my hands
Or keep to myself?

What’s a life with no point
That stays safe at home.
What’s the point of a life
That’s lived all alone.

Just tiptoeing among other silhouettes

I learned so much from your writing style. philosphy oozes out from this poem. Sharing it on twitter. Living without taking any risks is like being a stagnant pond. Glad to have read this, thanks to @d-pend for allotting and taking so much of pains to make this poetry exercise a huge success

Thank you for taking the time to comment. When it comes to writing poetry, I definitely think of myself as a philosopher. I’m thankful for the share on twitter and glad you liked it. I am also thankful to @d-pend. This challenge has helped grow in ways far beyond my writing ability.
