I Wonder - Day 68
I wonder
How long is this train
What caused that stain
How fast does it go
Why did it slow
What makes it move
Will it stay on the groove
ARE WE THERE YET?
I wonder
Is there more than this?
Just a candy kiss?
Cause there’s something amiss.
Why is life so whack?
Where did I get off-track?
Who has my back?
Is there any way of knowing
Just where am I going?
Cause there’s no signs of slowing.
ARE WE THERE YET?
I wonder
Where is that child
So free and so wild?
Who so often smiled
Soul undefiled.
The melancholy teen
questioning everything
Feeling every wring
Cutting every string.
Now weighted with chains
and so many stains
Held back by these reins
as the system restrains
ARE WE THERE YET?

Life is a circle, there are days faster than others. If we look back, we miss the moments of the children. Sometimes we hate the present moments. We never leave the circle, we only review it and walk.
I perceive a complaint transformed into a question. A disagreement with the present journey, in this today. There is doubt about the future, uncertainty.
I like these metaphorical lines
Feeling every wring
Cutting every string.
Now weighted with chains
and so many stains
