It’s just sitting there.
Begging for attention;
Begging for action.
But you just circumvent.
Ignoring it’s presence;
Denying it’s appeal.
-An exercise in futility.

But it’s still sitting there.
Seemingly growing,
Making it harder
To just pass-by.
Capturing attention
Just a little bit longer.
-Stirring your soul.

It’s in your face!
Holding you captive;
Refusing to forbear;
Forcing your hand.
Resistance is futile.
Getting harder to breathe.
-Shaken to the core.

JUST KICK IT!
Let’s get this ball rolling

Your poem today is still installed in feelings of anguish, depression and fear.
Presents fear as "center that looks and knows". As an enemy that stalks the mind, body and spirit to feed on us, to make us weak.
The lyrical voice paints it as a presence that hopes to strengthen itself to attack. But, in the end, he raises the initiative to kick him to get rid of him. And, simply, it's time to do it.
Good job, honey.

Yes and no. I wrote this with the possibility of two scenarios. The one you saw, but also a tantalizing invitation to let go and have fun - to leave order and enter chaos. A bit frightening though in itself to some like me.

To me this is one of those odd quirks of human thought - the more you try not to think about something, the more it forces itself into your mind. In the end, all we can do is face up to it and deal with the thought itself. At the same time, it could also be that we had nothing to fear in the first place, but rather to enjoy. This poem could apply to so many things - it has a universal quality which all poets should aspire to :)

I see this poem as a challenge or appeal for one to let go of something that wants freedom -saying it more fun to let go than to hold on to it or resist it. I may be wrong anyway.
I like the theme. Simple dictions and expressions.
