(book 2)Entry 12
"Hear me."
The sound of the wind carried the softest trace of a voice. She couldn't tell if it was female or male, but she knew instinctively that she should recognize it.
"Talia."
She whipped her head around. Desperate to find the source of the disembodied call, she spun in every direction, straining her ears, her eyes, and her essence.
How was she here? Had she fallen asleep at the bonfire? She hadn't even felt the fireflies flood her vision. One moment she was listening to singing and snoring and laughing and the next? Here?
"Can you feel me?"
Talia was shaking. The voice itself wasn't frightening, but rather - awakening her very core. She could feel the frosty shards that had crystallized around her heart shattering with each heartbeat. She fanned her fingers out, turning frantically, reaching for any trace, any taste of this energy that sung to her. Like a blind woman, searching the air for any object, she stretched out her body and energy into the void before her. It wasn't as if she couldn't feel any trace of energy - it was like it was everywhere, in every atom. The presence was both diluted and overwhelming. She called out, desperate.
"Push back against me! Give me something to hold!" She wasn't sure how long she had been here, but her surroundings were starting to shimmer. The world around her was fading against her will. It was almost as if she was being squeezed back into the "real" world through a small tube. She fought to move forward, as if she was trudging through a blizzard, but the force against her was too much. As she transitioned back into the "real", she reached out for one last attempt to communicate. Her attempt to speak words into the abyss was thwarted as the hushed voice crashed like a tidal wave against her body - tumbling her through noise and chaos and distress. Before being shoved back into the "real", she heard the final plea.
"Bring me back."

You've got a gift for words. This is really good stuff! Really well written, grabs the reader and leads them through the story with just the right amount of description, each sentence well thought out to portray each scene without wasting words or run on problems that I've seen in other peoples work. Yup, this is a good read! Will be heading back to chapter one. Great job, keep it up, wanna read more!

I know they are shorter snippets.. and I've gotten so many complaints (only friendly complaints) that they're not longer!! Hahaha
But I am trying to PACK so much in a little bit so my readers feel like we arent dragging!
I could totally add lots of filler and fun! But..there is SO much to read and support on Steemit....I'm trying to make it easy to read these daily!
But what do you think??? Should I combine 2-3 entries and release them twice a week again???
I'm totally up for that if that's what my readers prefer hehehe
I personally love the way you're doing it now. It means I can get a daily dose, but if I get a bit behind, it's feasable to have a wonderful binge-read at bath Time and catch up. Absolutely perfect ❤

Absolutely loving this story... so much so I am at Book 1..
I absolutely need to these Teams... who are they? hahahaha
people who read the story during Book 1 became VERY passionate about who should "win" hehehe
there was a little rivalry there! it became really comical to see what was happening in the comments
