Steemit Open Mic Week 61 - See Who Played Open Mic And Vote For Your Favorite Steemian Musicians
Steemit Open Mic is an online, live music venue to give musicians a chance to share their music with the Steemit community and get their music heard. It is growing larger every week thanks to all of you.

Steemit Open Mic is growing so fast that a lot of people are entering without really reading the rules so I want to do a little house cleaning for those entering the contest.
The bigger this grows the easier it is to miss someone's entry post so following these rules makes us see you have entered so we can upvote you.

Steemit Open Mic is a live music contest and we need to know that you are really playing or singing us a song for this contest in particular. That's why to qualify for prizes you must say "Steemit Open Mic Week" (next week number) at the beginning of your video just before you play or sing the song. If you don't or if you edit in later onto a prerecorded performance you will not qualify for prizes.
If your song is an original song then you MUST put the word "original" in your title. Original songs get a small bonus right now and it is easier to find all the original songs with the word added in the title.
The next thing that is very important it to begin your title with "Steemit Open Mic Week (the current week number)" and place that as the first words of your title or I may not be able to find your post at all.
Here is a perfect example of a correctly titled post to enter Steemit Open Mic for an original song.
This would be a perfectly titled post for a cover song entering the contest.
Theses posts are really easy to find in the feed and upvote them. They can easily be spotted so none of them get missed.
Also, @andybets from steemreports.com is working on a chart that is targeting those keywords to sort all entries by originals and covers.

NOTE: The order this chart lists the performances has no bearing on choosing the finalists. Just because a video is at the top doesn't mean they will win the contest.

Please do not take that personally, but I feel a little bit disappointed about that,because we put some effort into this (of course knowing, that there is a continously reward for originalmusic). If our entry was invalid relating to the rules, please tell us where we did wrong in tagging, titling etc. so that we can improve that in the future. Thank you very much!
I saw that it was a song from the middle age,s not an original song that you wrote. Also, we ask that if you did write an original song that you put the word "ORIGINAL" somewhere in your title so we don't miss it.
Just to be clear though, covering your own version of a song from the middle ages is not writing an original song, it is a cover.
Well, in the title @finkenchris wrote explicit "original music by..." and we tagged it all the right way with openmic and originalmusic.
So we did just what you wrote in you reply above, so as by your reply it seems you just did not trust us that it was original and done by ourselves, I feel sad about that to be honest and at least want to point out that it definitely was all done and written by ourselfs, no cover. We titled it "middle ages" because it is sounding like music from that age.
Well, as their is no entitlement for those boni we will fairly have to deal with your judgement.
I wouldn't say I didn't trust you. It was just unclear to me if it was a song written by you or your interpretation of a medieval song already written. I any case nothing to get upset about. I have transferred 3.870 steem to your account to credit the bonus to you.

I am not the one of contest members (not yet) hope next time maybe, I am very appreciates for all of this. so just partisanship and just write the comment base on my observe. All of members is great to perform their effort, lot of them look like pro and good smart to play the music instrument but just little bit of them who are entertainer with their did, this the point by me.
