Okay this is way outside of the usual way that I write songs. As I have mentioned before I never try to write on a subject; these things either "download" through me or not...
I decided to forgo any oblique references and go straight to the title.
I found out the hardest part other than writing a song on demand, in one day, is trying to record it! I kept messing up the lyrics but after many many takes I settled with this....thanks for listening and be gentle ! (PS-This song is not autobiographical)

What an amazing song you wrote there! I really like the part with trying to hide from the faces on the wall. I also felt a little like in school at the beginning to write on a certain topic, but then I got inspired and i thought: this is finally the school I wanna be part of. With everything that comes out of ourselves we are learning something new.
And I totally agree on that the hardest part is recording it some hours after writing. I didn't have the patience to get to take 500 so I just left the mistakes in.
I really enjoyed that, thanks for sharing.

Hey there and thank you...one reason that I have not done much recording of my songs in the past is that trying to be the engineer and artist at the same time kills it for me. This openmic format is perfect because I just try to get one decent take and let it be...
That's pretty amazing that the open mic community has opened the door for you to start recording more of your music! I have felt a similar freedom with open mic as well. I just do covers (I'm not a songwriter), but a year ago I would have never guessed that I'd be recording myself and posting it online!
I had to listen to that a couple times it was so good. What open tuning is that?
Thanks man, actually standard tuning but I always tune my guitars down two steps. So you start with a D on the first string instead of an E. Also I think what makes it sound different is when I play that second chord it is not a regular "G" because I am fretting the 1st and 2nd strings both on the 3rd fret, instead of the top string on the 3rd an 2nd string on the 2nd which gives it a different vibe...hope that makes sense !
