Steemit Open Mic Week 61 - Drum Cover Of Tupac's Thugz Mansion - a West Coast Classic w/ East Coast Drums
Here's my entry for Open Mic Week 61 just for fun. Yes, you read the title correctly. I've never played this acoustic song until yesterday. Unfortunately, there aren't that many drumless audio tracks of songs for me to choose from yet, so this one jumped out for this week. Since it's a simple song, I had to make sure that I didn't overpower it or get too flashy. Did you catch the quick stick spin at the start, or the clapping hands on my aux trigger? It's nothing fancy and not my best work, but I'm usually a heavy drummer and I wanted to step out of my comfort zone. Hope you enjoy!
As always, please use headphones or speakers with good bass or you won't be able to hear half of the drums.
If anyone has any ideas as to how I can enhance or balance the bass for normal laptop speakers to be able to hear it, please let me know. It sounds great with my Bose headphones, but absolutely horrible and mostly inaudible on my MacBook.

Thanks a lot. Funny you mentioned that because I originally did it much more toned down during the chorus, but thought it'd be too boring and changed it last second. Tempted to redo it as originally done, but I'll learn to trust my instincts to stay within the song. Thanks for listening.

Thanks a lot for your comment and encouragement. It's definitely inside, but only able to come out with sticks and pedals. I wish I could sing or play other instruments. I have so many ideas I don't know how to translate.
