Word Poetry Challenge #3 : "Gintong Medalya"
Nais kong ibahagi ang orihinal kong katha upang magbigay suporta sa aking patimpalak na "Word Poetry Challenge" na may temang "Gintong Medalya". Hindi ito isang valid entry. Nais ko lang gumawa ng sarili kong katha :)
"Gintong Medalya"
Sa taong may puno ng dangal
Puno ng talento at pagpupursigi
Na makamit ang matagal na minimithi
Ito rin ay sukatan ng pinakamahusay
Ang pinakamatalino ang nagtatagumpay
Ito rin ay para sa mga taong nagtatiyaga
Sabay sa kasabihang "Pag may tiyaga may nilaga"
Ito'y produkto ng talento at pagpupursigi
Ito'y mahirap sa una pero sa huli'y nagwawagi
Bantayog ang pangalan at sinasabit
Ang "Gintong Medalya" nilalagay sa leeg
Napakamura kung ito'y bibilhin
Ngunit walang halaga kung damhin
Pero kung ibinibigay dahil sa tagumpay
Mas kadama-dama ng walang humpay

Lol! This language is Filipino so you might not get it. It's actually a poem entitled : "Gold Medals". Yes, my mom collected those medals during my high school and college days.
ok @jassennessaj but you are too modest to tell us what those medal are for? lol, are they for debates won or for some sports competition?
Oooohh yeah. I for got about that. But it's a combination of Math and Damath Competition (Dama with a math on the chips).
During college, the medals are from contests during Intramurals (Boggle, Math Quizbowl, etc) and some awards during our Ringhop Ceremony.
they have math competitions? count me out. I've never heard of Damath or dama with a math on the chips?
Lol! Yes. Damath is like a regular Dama game but with computations on it. Something like the picture below. It's an integer damath. Once the game ends, players will count/total their scores based on the operations during the take. The higher the total score wins.
ok I got it. I got it that this is over my head. It's not an age thing. I've always been "math challenged." But I so admire those who are good at it, we need them to figure things out!
