Four months ago I was a shrimp crushed in a whale fight. It all happened because I thought the Steemit user berniesanders was the politician Bernie Sanders whom I love and adore. I had no idea who Haejin was. @aggroed suggested that minnows leave a comment to make friends with a whale or dolphin. I just chose the wrong whale. I wanted to make friends with whales so I thought I would leave a noticeable comment. The problem is all the comments on that post got downvoted including mine. I was a shrimp injured in a fight between whales. When I looked at my downvote history on steemd.com I found that I even downvoted myself one accident. When using @busy.orf the upvote and downvote buttons are close together and my cell phone glitched. I know getting a downvote is not the same as breaking my beak but it hurts.

An innocent bystander gets hurt in a fight
This is meant as a political proverb and has been true in the history of Korea. It also true with Steemit and the world today. Little shrimp get crushed in the battle of the whales. I'm sorry to say but it is also true with the kids I teach. They have no say in what they are learning or where taxpayer's money is going to. It is mostly a struggle between the liberal party that wants to make a big statement that the government is helping the people and the status quo that would just like to keep everything the same. Well it is a fish eat fish world.

I can prove it by the dinner I ate yesterday. I am a minnow or maybe plankton whatever you want to call me but I know how to eat fish. I am eating well and I'm healthy today. So my best advice for shrimps in the sea is to brush off the back injury and get back up and keep swimming.

lol... Loved that! It's the first time I actually listened to you read your poem. ... Yeah, way back, during Dolphin School I think it was, I read a post warning everyone, especially us little fishes, to stay away from that fight.
Thanks for listening @mandelsage. I still have laryngitis and the dust these days is really intense so my voice doesn't carry but I did this for fun. I never take anything very seriously. Actually I never knew what a mandala was until I saw your post. It seems to have origins in Hindi traditions and religion. I have a friend from Tamalar Chenei who gets into the ancient texts of Hinduism and finds the origins have great similarities to Christianity but lost over time because people don't read the ancient texts.
I'm sorry you accidentally got in the mix of all that. I've heard bits and pieces about it but have tried to avoid it like the plague.

I don’t know a whole lot about the ‘war’ that I’ve heard about a little since I’ve been here. But I think I’ll just stay out of it. I think it’s all over my head... and over my rank!
Thank you for your advice @randomphandom. I didn't know what I was doing four months ago and boom I got flagged for not minding my own business. Four months later and now I do understand what is going on and I will still stay out of their business.
I think you have learned the hard way. Look for writers that promotes positive things, be it minnow or whale, is far much better than joining any flag wars.
Politics should not even exist in this platform; unfortunately because there are human beings this still cannot be avoided.
Best steer away.

If a lot of minnows stick together and help each other, then sooner or later they will grow into dolphins and eventually into whales. That’s the whole idea behind projects like @make-a-whale – and I am very happy that you are a part of it!
You are exactly right @oleg326756. I'm so thankful for you and Scrooger and the projects you are doing with feed the minnows and @make-a-whale. I would have quit a long time ago but I became friends with @moderndayhippie and he introduced me to @qurator and @thesteemengine. I made friends with some great bloggers and over time made friends with dolphins and yes when we support each other we will grow. I'm super happy that you guys gave me the opportunity. I wish the best for you and your future. It is very smoggy in Seoul these days with the Gobi dust but there are still plenty of opportunities for you. I am super busy with teaching and family but I love your updates from Sweeden.
