“If only a heart could be as white as snow.”

Effervescent joy springs from the hearts of these boys
Like palace guard icicles hang in crystalline majesty
The Yeti readies his quiver for a shocking blow
Molecules packed in hyperbolic space
Releasing tension from it’s solid state
Its hexagon lattice is maintained
The hydrogen is bond still in place
But his face
He cries when he looks down at the crimson snow
He knows the origins of this stain
And he cries out in pain.
his brother says, “I’m sorry.”
“At least it wasn’t your eyes.”
Inside his heart is troubled.
Should he hide?
Should he go inside?
If only a heart could be as white as snow.
With the last strength he has he says to his brother.
“It will be ok. Let’s make another.”
Hearts are mended just like the snow.
Crimson stains are washed away.
All in child’s play.

This poem was created after a walk with my youngest son and his friend. When my son got home he started to fight with his brother. Having two boys keeps me alert. I wrote the poem and recorded it with my cellphone. The music came from a classical radio station on the background of the phone. I was surprised that it all fit together well. I had fun doing this but it was hard to find quiet time to record. If you are curious what my voice sounds like then this is the chance.

Thank you @naquoya. These kids need a lot of love. I remember when my brother and I used to fight in the snow. It all gets covered up with the fresh fallen snow. I'm glad you caught the big picture and had one minute to listen. @moderndayhipppie encouraged me to record even though the I don't have a proper mic or equipment. The music just randomly fit the piece. I was glad for the serendipity of this and will do another.
You're ahead of the curve there I think. I've been considering doing to story 'readings' for dsound. Was happy to hear how well yours sounded. You should do more, I'll take a listen. Hopefully others also.

I agree, and some people actually prefer to listen than to read. Another avenue to reach an audience.

Thank you @iamkuyaj. This is my first audio and I'm working on more. I think kids need more time to play and learn these things when they are younger before they have buttons connected to war toys next to them.
i agree with you. nowadays, the kids don't have that much engagement in playing outside with their friends rather they play in the virtual world which has many health effects, mentally and physically. That's why it is the utmost responsibility of a parent to teach their children responsible usage of technology or Internet.
