In the Park Part 27 (5-minute freewrite Day 278 prompt: dog breath)

Lisa was thinking fast. "Let's catch a bus back to our part of town. We should be able to get there in half an hour. We can go to the regular grocery story in our own neighborhood and buy some vanilla yogurt and a bag of coconut to mix with it. It will still be coconut yogurt, right?" Selene nodded her approval of the plan. Dashing to the bus stop, they were just in time to board the bus headed for their part of town. The crowd had left the arena, so the route was direct and took a normal length of time. This time, though, they were not enjoying the sights out the windows; they were too upset about how close it was getting to 7:00 p.m.

"Do you suppose the 24 hours is over at 7:00, the time we met Larry at the park? Or would it be at 8:00, which is about when we headed for the grocery store the first time?" wondered Selene. "And how will anyone know when we are done, anyway? Larry never told us whether we had to report back to the park, or what."

"Oh dear," moaned Lisa. "There is a great deal we didn't really think about. That woman who cast the spell didn't make all the little details clear, did she? How can we prove we've done all the things we had to do, anyway? Does she just sort of know, like some wizard or something? Does she have a crystal ball? Does she have some sort of supernatural know-all and see-all going on? I've never seen her, but I really don't like her at all. I bet she has warts and messy hair and dog breath."

"Welllll, I didn't mention it before, but I've been taking videos of you on my cell phone every time you've met one of the requirements, including when you ate the apricot, petted the white cat, and screamed after midnight, although I almost missed that last one. But I don't know who to show them to, or if I'll even need to. It's kinda weird, when you think about it," said Selene.

"The whole thing is weird, anyway, so what's one more bit of weirdness?" sighed Lisa. "Here's our stop; let's scoot to that grocery store!"

"Wait!!" shouted Selene. "Where's the bag with the housecoat in it? Did you leave it on the bus?"

"No, I put it in my big handbag. See?" Lisa pulled out the bag from her gigantic purse.

"Whew!" Selene sighed with relief. "I just about had a panic attack there."
