In the Park Part 7 (Selfie Freewrite Contest Day 8 Prompt: home alone)

That evening Lisa relaxed at home alone, as usual. She had no roommate; it was just a tiny studio in an old house turned into apartments. It had been a beautiful, sunny day and the evening was pleasantly warm and still. She baked a frozen pizza for supper, and opened a bag of salad to round out her meal. Sitting on her tiny balcony she thought back over the events of the day. She was glad she had told Selene about the note and the parrot, and even more glad that Samson had shown up while they were eating lunch together. Otherwise, Selene might not have believed what she said. "That bird has such soulful eyes," she thought. "It's almost as if it is trying to tell me something." She had brought home the five rosebuds and put them into a vase on her dresser in her bedroom, now sweetly perfumed by the flowers. She felt unreasonably touched by the flowers and by the elegant bird. It seemed completely ridiculous, but she could swear she was falling in love.
