Shaking her head in disbelief, Lisa stepped into her apartment and closed the door. What kind of a joke was this, anyway? Had some guy with his pet parrot been spying on her for weeks on end? How could a parrot be obsessed with her? How could a parrot write a note? How could a parrot convey to its owner that a note needed to be written on its behalf? Wait! Suppose the dude in the sombrero and cowboy boots was the one who wanted to meet her, not the parrot? That made a lot more sense, but it was still creepy.

This would require some thought. Lisa kicked off her work shoes, slipped on her flip-flops, and walked into her kitchen. A handful of chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk were her customary after-work snack, and today was no exception. But instead of reading the newspaper and checking her email as usual, she found herself staring at the note she had found in her door frame. The handwriting was clear and straight. Spelling and punctuation were proper. It didn't look like a ransom note or anything like that. If this was just another pick-up line, she would have to give the man credit for originality. This was only Tuesday, so she had plenty of time to decide what, if anything, she was going to do about this.

In case you missed it, here is the link to Part One.
