A Favorite Freewrite - Closed

Every Tuesday, you have a chance to win a membership to Steem Basic Income, SBI, at the Freewrite House.

Try to win one, my friends. An everlasting vote on your posts is nothing to sneeze at.

We want to make it super easy for you. Your task is to tell us in the comment section about one - or more- freewrites of others you have read in the last couple of days you really liked. Yup, not your own!!

Remember the comment must be at least 50 words long - no upper limit 🤪

See the rules below for details.

In an ideal world, you also give that person a nice upvote - but we are not going to check on that.

So, to be entered into the drawing, tell us about a freewrite you really liked and why. Choose from the last couple of days so others can go, visit inspired by your description, and leave a vote.

Win, Win, Win!!!

I think @hevictor's post is really good because it takes up topics that I'm really interested in.
Post: https://steemit.com/blog/@hevictor/overpopulationhumanitysnextgreatchallenge-c2d76yv94o
The post is writing about how overpopulation is taking it's toll on earth. This problem has been here for a very long time, but in a different way. People have always been fighting over resources. If there was a way to equally split the resources better I think the solution would be there. In nature survival of the fittest make sure that overpopulation doesn't exist in the same way. Humankind is except from this, because we have so much power on earth

We agree that this is an excellent post. But it is not a freewrite. For this contest, we are looking for recommendations of a freewrite you like. You can find many of them every day in the comments of the Daily Prompt @mariannewest's profile. Thank you for playing.

Not sure if I'm too late here, but I can't go past @mariannewest's post state of emergency ( link ) It spells out pretty clearly how many of us feel about the world. The environmental issues we are passing on to our kids - along with the health concerns in many countries are major issues and highlighted well in this post.

Also, just want to thank those that have recommended my posts. Much appreciated. For those that liked "The Piano", I have extended it and put a post up. (and it got a Curie vote - woohoo) Not sure yet where the story is going, will start working on Part 4 soon.

Have a great day everyone,

John.

Congrats on the curie vote!!! So happy for you!! And you are well in time :)

i think @honeydue's post is interesting. Here the post https://steemit.com/freewrite/@honeydue/looking-at-you-freewrite

This post is interesting because remembering the description of the inner feelings of the characters make us as readers get carried away in the story delivered.
Remembering the dead and making us miss the time of life together knitting beautiful memories. want to always coexist as the time is still alive, because during life gives peace and always calm atmosphere when overwhelmed mood and all can be more calm. Memories become unraveled again upon hearing the grand piano at the funeral

1 @rokhani

Great choice!!! Good luck!

OMG! I must nominate @brisby's freewrite "Chocolate Chip Cookies" using the prompt: chips. I love her sense of humor and this story still has me laughing. If you want a good laugh and a great recipe, go check it out...you will be glad you did. LOL!
https://steemit.com/freewrite/@brisby/chocolate-chip-cookies

I would also like to nominate @papacrusher's "State of Decay" for the prompt: state. Not because this is his first freewrite, but because of the freewrite itself. The story had all of my senses working overtime which made me feel like I was right there, in the swamp he wrote about. I didn't want the story to end. https://steemit.com/freewrite/@papacrusher/state-of-decay

Last but not least, I would like to nominate @kaerpediem's "State Your Need." Who doesn't want a "do-over?" This story gives a mother a second chance and I didn't expect the story to end the way it did. What a creative way to use the prompt: state. https://steemit.com/freewrite/@kaerpediem/freewrite-state-your-need

All great choices!! Thank you so much!!!

I want to propose this @byn freewrite:
https://steemit.com/freewrite/@byn/betting-it-all
She usually writes a lot of good fiction that I'm sorry I don't have the time to read, but for once my broken radar caught this freewrite done for the last entry of the Selfie Contest.
I really like to read something "spicy" sometimes, and there are many ingredients for an intriguing story: gambling, sex, cunning and deception, irony...it was funny to read!

9 @marcoriccardi

We love byn's stories!!

There wasn't supposed to be me to receive a number? Or there's something I didn't get? 🤔😅

hahaha - yes - you are. I am a bit tired these days... Mind not always working LOL

fixing it now....

She is able to write out the life scenario in sweet short poem. Definitely thought-provoking and brilliant. At first, I thought she is writing about some machine or robot. Then I realise she relates it the human's life. Never see it coming. And I re-read the poem 2 more times. Have a read and delve into the her world (or thoughts) :)

https://steemit.com/freewritepoetrydigest/@michellpiala/the-chip-with-unlimited-command-or-5-minutes-free-write-chip

it has to be 50 words in your comment. add a few more. You have 24 hours from now to do it!!!

Oh yes. Forgot about that. Brain not working well while at hospital appointment. Lol. Thank you for letting me know.

Hope you get some good results from the Doc.

Thank you ☺️

Life is full of challenges, and we get caught up in it. There are times we sink and drown in the emotions that rage within. What happens if and when we come out on the other side of the chaos? Read @wandrnrose7's The Truth About Things for her journey. It's raw and she shares her journey through pain and where she is at right now.

That is a very moving story

For this week am nominating @jk6276. He just started #freewrite and seeing his post I plan to encourage him the more, his recent post has proven to be of great input to the #freewritehouse and am impressed.

His post on the word " state" was so in place, I also lost some upvote in The midst of this.
https://steemit.com/freewrite/@jk6276/day-257-5-minute-freewrite-tuesday---prompt-state-my-day-4

@jk6276 has dole out couples of freewrite too,
https://steemit.com/freewrite/@jk6276/day-256-5-minute-freewrite-monday---prompt-chips--my-day-3-of-freewriting he delivered it well by telling us the life of the sea gulls in relation to been thrown a chip, I can picture it myself while reading the fun in doing this, though I've never seen or encounter one before.

7 @botefarm

@jk6276 impressed a lot of us this week. You are the third person to recommend him :)

Today I would like to feature John's #freewrite on the prompt: state

https://steemit.com/freewrite/@jk6276/day-257-5-minute-freewrite-tuesday---prompt-state-my-day-4

John's truthful #freewrite on today's prompt, brought to my attention, the vunerability of the block chain after last night's technical difficulties. I was panicking about getting my last selfie story posted before the 10am deadline. I don't understand all what witnesses do, but I'm sure glad they worked that problem out in a timely manner. Thanks John, keep on #freewriting! 👏

4 @wonderwop

whoa! He got two of you recommending him!! And Bruni, did you see his SBI reverse contest?

No, I missed that contest. I'll go check it out and the other story @eroticabian nominated.

Thanks on the reverse SBI contest tip, I jumped on board. 😘

I thought you would :)

This story by @jk6276 is GREAT. The mysterious piano: a fantastic, fun, super short story that manages to be amazing in few words. I absolutely loved this one! I had just been kind of getting bored of reading, I was really tired and thought I'd just read ONE MORE. I clicked this link and was immediately drawn in and actually found myself wishing that it was a longer story!
https://steemit.com/freewrite/@jk6276/day-256-5-minute-freewrite-my-day-2-prompt---ornate

Great story by @tristancarax that is continuing. The characters and the impending friction between the dad and the mom… I can’t wait to see how these characters continue to develop! He manages to bring these characters to life with a depth that isn't often seen in a short story like this. I feel like I know these people, that maybe I've sat and talked with them before and wondered about their life, and here they are being brought to life in a story. https://steemit.com/weekendfreewrite/@tristancarax/church-the-weekend-freewrite-6-30-2018

3 @eroticabian

Both great choices!!! The piano really drew me in as well!
