In the Park Part 9 (Selfie Freewrite Contest Day 10 Prompt: wire)

Friday dawned with overcast skies, but by mid-day it was clearing off. Lisa found herself feeling very excited about the upcoming evening outing with Selene. There was something surreal about the whole event, which was both an unfamiliar an a welcome sensation. Lisa hurried home after work, ate a quick supper, and was about to head out the door when she stopped dead in her tracks. What did one wear to go meet up with a bird? Were her work clothes adequate? She hadn't bothered to change yet. Quickly she decided to put on something a little dressier, maybe a long, casual skirt, and low-heeled sandals, and a colorful shirt. She also donned the necklace and earrings her craft-loving brother had made for her. They were wire-wrapped fake gemstones, but looked really snazzy with her outfit.

Despite the costume change, she was still on time to meet Selene, who was already waiting for her at the entrance to the park. Smiling at each other, they strode confidently into the grassy expanse of the park with its shrubbery "fence." It was not a large city park, so they would not have to search long for Samson and Mr. Sombrero. In fact, they should have answers to most of their questions within five minutes, the same amount of time it takes to compose a freewrite.
