The Steem Alliance moves forward.
A Discord server has now been set up. A process is underway to elect an initial working group.
There will be a meeting this coming Sunday at 1pm EST / 6pm UTC in the new Steem Alliance Discord server to hold elections.
Steemit Inc CEO Ned Scott will be making another appearance on the State of Steem Forum on Thursday.
The Steem Alliance - Working Group Elections
The new Steem Alliance that came out of Steemit Inc CEO Ned Scott's announcement on Sunday, now has its own Discord server.
The Discord is open to everyone who would like to follow progress or get involved...
An improptu voice chat in the Discord shortly after it was opened up led to an election process taking place.
That election was for 12 members on an initial Working Group tasked with setting up and administering an election to select proposals from the community for how the Steem Alliance / Foundation should be formed and operate.
This first election process selected @aggroed, @bluefinstudios, @crimsonclad, @eonwarped, @fyrstikken, @inertia, @krnel, @llfarms, @pgarcgo, @reggaemuffin, @shadowspub and @whatsup.
Subsequently however, as the meeting and election had been unannounced and because the audio recording failed, it was decided that the elections for this initial Working Group should be rerun.
There will therefore be a formal election meeting this coming Sunday 27 January. The meeting wil be held in the Steem Alliance Discord server at 1pm EST / 6pm UTC.

The State of Steem Forum #5 & Ned Talks #2 - Thursday 24 January
The State of Steem #5 covering Marketing, PR and Onboarding takes place this Thursday at the slightly later time of 9pm - midnight UTC.
The forum will be preceded by an hour's discussion and questions with Steemit Inc CEO Ned Scott.
Ned will be talking about a range of topics but will certainly include more about the back story and future hopes for the new Steem Alliance / Foundation that is just being set up.
The forum and the Ned interview will take place in the PAL/MSP Waves Discord and will also be on Vimm.TV.
