Them Naked Trees
Mabuti pa ang bata ...
nagtatanong pag may di nauunawa ...
hindi kumakatha ng haka ...
sige boy bawang - subukan mong isalin sa'yong wika
baka sakaling magising ka't magtigil sa kakatha ng mga haka - haka
yun eh .. kung swertehen ka ke gugel
sa nagbabasang Pinoy .. ibigay nyo na sakin' to .. wag nyo na isalin pakiusap lang
... asked a child walking on the path along where I was gardening - looking up those still very bald trees around. It's Spring but they're still naked.
I like them looking like these though .. just because it's too dark here during the cold seasons so I'm glad those trees aren't wearing clothes - if that's what leaves are for them. Bald trees make the sky more visible and allows the sun to kiss my cheeks. Not to mention that their lines are perfect inspirations for sketching days.
his Asian Mama who's noticed I was eyeing them gave me a smile and told him .. those trees are just sleeping.
Inquisitive like every child he went on asking if they won't die from the cold saying he's even wearing a coat and his toes go frozen sometimes but maybe he should lend one his coat but it's too little it won't cover that tall tree up. Funny how children talk - so innocent and so true - no sugar coating, no pretense, no hidden motives ... no assumptions ... so pure ...
... his Asian looking Mama who's noticed I was eyeing them gave me a smile and told him .. those trees are just sleeping love, they'd be waking up soon and will soon be putting on their best clothes.
... "but Mama" .. he continues, one hand on the huge trunk of a sleeping Beech; " It looks very sad, look at it - it's skin is so dry I'll bring my lotion along next time." Mama and I locked eyes and smiled at each other .. then he went on ..;" and maybe it's just not saying it's cold but it is." then he spread his tiny arms around that tree and laid his pinkish cheeks on the trunk as if listening to it. He looks so tiny hugging that huge tree ~~ so tiny, so pure ... so sweet ...

I took each picture with my Samsung Galaxy A3 2016 edition the black and white is the effect of the weather we had that day and the fact that it was near dusk.
