Exchange Transfer Report: 7/29/2018 to 8/5/2018

in #exchangereport6 years ago

USD values are calculated per day via API feeds from Cryptocompare (for STEEM and SBD values in BTC) and Coindesk (for USD value of BTC). For the top 50 reports in USD terms, I take the average USD value for STEEM and SBD for the week using the daily closing price which came out to:

  • STEEM: $1.26409
  • SBD: $1.10754

Previous Report:

  • STEEM: $1.42812
  • SBD: $1.23137

Assumptions

Please see the first report for a detailed explanation of my personal assumptions related to what this data could mean (along with commentary on previous reports). What it does not show is people powering up, powering down, or if they are buying or selling on an exchange. It's just some interesting data dealing with transfers to and from exchange accounts.

Linked Accounts

hitbtc includes hitbtc-exchange and hitbtc-payout, freewallet.org includes freewallet, openledger includes openledger-dex, binance includes binance-hot and deepcrypto8, upbit includes upbit-exchange and myupbit, gopax includes gopax and gopax-deposit, and huobi includes huobi-pro and huobi-withdrawal.

Commentary

  • We have 1.81 accounts cashing out to an exchange for every 1 account depositing from an exchange.

  • Interesting to see haejin depositing funds and ngc the top account withdrawing funds.

  • There is 14.04%% less Steem Power powering down this coming week compared to last week.

I withdrew zero.

Great job otherwise... I need to put add your name on my witness list. I can't remember seeing your name. The @rebeccabe one my alt account @photobe she always does what I say. :) 🎈

That a lot of money transfer out the blockchain. While I am in real struggle reaching 500 SP. By the way, steem right now is under value for its fiat-price. But its value as a working application, its over valued.

Well, if it goes to 5 cents again it'll be really easy for you to get to 500 SP!

Overvalued compared to what? It’s one of the only blockchain projects actually being used by regular people.

Over value compare to other blockchain such bitcoin cash blogging platform such as blockpress, ONG and etc.

Micro tipping won't gain traction, IMO. See the Steem white paper for more on that. ONG? Doesn't seem to be up at the moment:

Invest feed is one that never gain traction.

Saya sangat menyukai postingan anda dan berguna bagi saya

Great expository but I seek to be more educated on the implication of the various figures as I found myself unable to comprehend stats in understandable terms.

Could you clarify what parts are confusing? Maybe read the very first post to better understand?

The last paragraph under commentary

Thanks for the report @lukestokes! The price seems going down and there's no clear sign of it going up in the near future but this could be a great opportunity for new investors to come in here while the price is still very cheap! I remember the time I wished I have bought a lot of Steempower :)

I remember it was at $0.07. The whole market is down so I’m not too concerned. Steem is an amazing blockchain that is powering many different apps. It’s undervalued.

Wow Luke. I totally understand your report. Only took my over a year to get with the program. I don't feel so computer tech illiterate any more. But then again this is a lot of finance which I have a background in. As you recall, my claim to fame is I didn't get a smart phone until last year as I've been lost in Cambodia for the past decade.....or something like that ;)

Looks like I'll finally get to thank you in person this year in Poland. I'm sure you'll be attending steemfest, I don't think it would be steemfest without a Luke Stokes.

When I heard it was announced to be in Poland in November my first thought was....ugggh it's going to be cold! But then I figured it really makes sense and works out perfectly. I'll tell you why.

I currently find myself in Kiev Ukraine, just a stone's throw from Krakow. Normally I wouldn't stay in the same location being for more than 2 weeks being Travel Pro and all! lol But I suddenly found myself a beautiful Ukrainian girl who likes guys who live out of their backpack.

Assuming all goes well, she plans to travel the world with me and we'll just hang here and prepare to do so until November. Likely we'll do some trips to Istanbul Turkey and maybe Morroco. We already went to Odessa on the Black Sea together.

So I can happily tell you, I'm no longer a solo traveler. So far so good, and she is a great companion. Speaks four languages including Chinese, English, and Russian! Smart girl.

I'm still doing my two posts a day, like clock work; and you know it wouldn't be happening if it wasn't for you. So thank you again for all your support and kind words.

Would have like to stop by your page sooner, but I've been spending all my time with the new girl. Ya know how that goes.

Wishing you and your family the very best. -Dan

Very cool, Dan! Congrats, man. Finding true companionship is an amazing, wonderful thing. I hope you don’t get stir crazy not traveling, but I think you’ll be okay with good company. :)

Yes, we’re planning to come with the whole family. I still need to get the tickets and hotel booked. We’ve been on a road trip from Nashville to Boulder, CO. We’re on our way back now.

It sounds like you’re going to have some amazing travels lined up.

Thank you Luke. Since I've built my life around experiences not things, now having someone to share it with will make everything that much more special.

Yes we are talking about going to Istanbul and maybe Morocco to keep things "Travel Pro" while loose ends are maybe tied up here on her side. But best not to get ahead of ourselves. One day at a time and hope for the best.

Nashville to Colorado. That is a road trip. I'm sure you had a great time. Family trip to Poland, awesome Luke. Looking forward to meeting you in person as well!
