Steemit Poets Unite - Daily Dose of Poetry and Prose #16 (Sweet Sixteenth Edition)
Hello everyone! Welcome to the 16th edition of the Daily Dose of Poetry and Prose. Today, I (@poetrybyjeremy) am hosting this post as the original host @angelveselinov is busier than usual, and will not have enough bandwidth to post it later on. Thus, I read and reviewed each entry myself. Today's post includes 6 entries, and are a relatively quick read. Without further ado, here we go with today's Poems:
Our first entry comes from @madevi. The poem, infinite bandwidth, talks about the issue most of us face - the lack of bandwidth (the same issue us hosts are facing). It is a relatable poem, and I am sure most of you will understand his "urgent plea". Go give him the steem cure as you read infinite bandwidth.
The second entry is a poem called Subleties of Inspiration. It was written for a contest called "Where Poets Dream and Cry Challenge", and I must say, @lonestarpoet does a sublime job at showing us where poets dream. The poem placed 3rd in the contest, and this shows how well-written it was. I am sure you will like to go to this land where us poets dream, so go read about it: Subleties of Inspiration.
The next poem is called The Lock, by @krazypoet. In this piece, we are encouraged to "break the lock" and set ourselves free. The tone is quite uplifting, and there is only one more thing I can tell you: Set yourself free while you read The Lock.
The next entry is by none other than the original host of the Daily Dose and founder of Steam Poets Unite: @angelveselinov. In The Good and the Bad, he explores the good, the bad, and whatever lies in between. The simplicity of the words along with the swift rhyme help the reader navigate through this game of balance: the game between The Good and the Bad.
Our fifth entry on today's daily dose, is @its-kg's poem, Salvation Song (Verse 1). As readers, we are shown a story of a man who has been struggling for a long time. The poem is a skilled rhyming couplet, as it flows naturally while we deal with reflective and existential questions. There is also an interesting use of emojis; check it out yourself on Salvation Song (Verse 1)
Last but not least, the last entry is my very own A Community of Ants. It is quite a short poem, highlighting how humans should learn from ant communities. It is seven lines long, so give a quick read to A Community of Ants.
