Travel | 26. Pasta la vista Ulan Ude!
Ulan-Ude, Russia
It was the last night at our fabulous host Denis’s (and his wife Marina) place and time for one last power-hangout.
As promised, I cooked pasta carbonara for everyone at the house that moment (which was 6 people). We shared some recipes, made music on iPad, and hung out royally.

Marina made the russian side salad, Ayuna sidecooked
Good, right? (note Chianti served from shot glasses)
The recipe I got from Denis is as follows:
Russian breakfast pancakes
1 kg of cottage cheese
6 eggs
7 tablespoons of sugar
7 tablespoons of flour (look for the texture on the picture)
1 woman (preferably a Russian one but anyone with enough heart will do)
After mixing all ingredients in a container, put flours in a bowl or plate and pat down hand-sized pancakes to fry in oil on a pan. Finished when golden brown! Eat!
After eats, it was time to pack once again. The bus to Ulaanbaatar would leave 7.30 in the morning. It will take 12 hours (confirmed 14 with border formalities). At least will have time to sleep on the bus.

I hope you enjoyed your trip!
I sure did! It literally changed my life. Keep tuned for the rest of the story :)
Will do!
That meal looked tasty! How has the trip been?
It really was! This particular trip happened in 2011-2012 but in a way I am still on the trip :) This trip changed my life and made me a digital nomad. I also met my wife on this trip (stay tuned for the full story)
